A Platform at the Intersection of Art & Culture
What is artkives?
Artkives is a digital space at the intersection of art, culture, and society.
It explores how images, trends, and creative movements reflect and shape the world we live in.
Through essays, visual analysis, and cultural commentary, Artkives connects contemporary aesthetics with broader social, historical, and emotional contexts. It is a place where pop culture meets critical thought, and where visual storytelling becomes a way of understanding collective imagination.
Artkives is rooted in the belief that art does not exist in isolation.
It thrives at the crossroads of aesthetics, cultural trends, and social realities.
Who is behind artkives?
Artkives was created by Mazarine Solen, Chief of Creation at Core Vizuals and a fashion enthusiast with a storyteller’s eye. Based in Montreal, she approaches art and culture as living narratives — shaped by memory, emotion, and social dynamics.
Artkives was born from a desire to foster a community where the connection between art, culture, and society can be explored collectively, encouraging dialogue between visual expression and lived experience.
At its core, Artkives reflects an aspiration for a more conscious creative industry: one where images are crafted with care and responsibility, both toward audiences and toward the creators who shape them.
